The Moon Story wins Karajia Award for Children's Literature!
The Moon Story, written by Marshia Cook, has won the Wilderness Society's 2025 Karajia Award for Children's Literature in the picture fiction category.

Dreamtime Story by Baryulgil Public School preserves culture and language for generations to come
Ngali Nga Balun, Ngali Nga Jugun (Our River, Our Country) is a picture book, published through the ILFs Community Publishing program, that tells a Dreamtime Story that has been passed down for many generations.

ILF on the Global Literary Stage
In late May, a team from the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) travelled to Norway to present the work of the ILF on the global stage. The privilege of speaking at these events followed the honour of winning the 2024 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, an internationally recognised award which has opened many doors, furthering the work of the ILF.

On The Way To Yalaŋbara: New Picture Book Celebrates Sacred Yolŋu Place
Author Rärriwuy Gurramu Marika and Illustrator Merrkiiyawuy Ganambarr-Stubbs are respected Elders of the Yolŋu people of North East Arnhem Land Community, Yirrkala, in the Northern Territory. Each is an artist, author and teacher, and has worked on many books.
